Dr. Dan is a life-long resident of Jerseyville, Illinois, and spent many hours helping his father at the veterinary clinic while growing up. Dan graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 after which he returned to Jerseyville and began working at the practice. His special interests in medicine include advanced imaging and dentistry. Outside of work, Dan enjoys hunting, working on his farm, and spending time with his family. Dan and his wife, Kelly, have five children. Together they enjoy tending their garden and working their many animals including pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, chicken, ducks, and guineas.

Dr. Mark Wendell

Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Mark was born and raised in Jerseyville, Illinois. He spent many years watching his father work as a veterinarian before deciding to pursue the medical field himself. He attended the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 2023 and joined the practice soon after. His special interests in medicine include dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and wound therapy. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Anna, and his son, Luke. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and raising all kinds of animals on his land. He has raised chickens, rabbits, turkeys, and sheep so far! He also has a golden retriever named Penny and two kitties named Hopper and Chin.

Dr. Anna Wendell

Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Anna was raised on a hog and grain farm in Teutopolis, Illinois, where her love for animals and medicine first started. She attended the University of Missouri for her undergraduate studies where she met our very own Dr. Mark Wendell. She then stayed at the University of Missouri to attend their College of Veterinary Medicine, which she graduated from in 2023. After graduation, she moved to Jerseyville with Dr. Mark and began working at our practice. Her special interests in medicine include orthopedic surgery and soft tissue surgery. When not working, Anna enjoys spending time with her husband and son, Luke. She also enjoys baking sweet treats and going on walks or bike rides. She has three pets of her own, a golden retriever named Penny and two kitties, Hopper and Chin.

Dr. Moore is from Godfrey, Illinois.  Her passion and love for animals started at an early age. Growing up all of her family pets were taken to Jersey-Calhoun Veterinary Hospital which is where her love of veterinary medicine grew. Dr. Moore graduated from Southern Illinois Carbondale in 2017. Dr. Moore then graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. Dr. Moore started working at Jersey-Calhoun Veterinary Hospital fall of 2023 and is so excited to be back in the area, close to friends and family!  Her special interests in veterinary medicine are nutrition, geriatric care, and eastern medicine. Dr. Moore and her husband have one dog named Bella and a cat named Boo. In her off time Dr. Moore enjoys yoga, walking her dog, enjoying stand up comedy, and spending time with friends and family.
