Dr Donald Van Walleghen, a native of Jerseyville, is the son of the late Dr. Albert and MaryAnn Van Walleghen. Dr VanWalleghen attended St Francis Catholic Grade School, Jersey Community High School, and in 1986, graduated from Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.

Don became a partner here at Jersey Calhoun Veterinary Hospital in 1987, when his father retired, following 40 years of service to his community. Dr VanWalleghen has 3 adult children who are all active members of our small community.

Dr David Wendell is a native of Garden Plain, Kansas, and graduated from Garden Plain High School, before attending Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon his graduation in 1986, Dr Wendell practiced medicine in Mesquite, Texas at the Dallas County Veterinary Hospital for 1 year, before joining the Jersey Calhoun Veterinary Hospital in 1987, and becoming a partner in 1988.

Dr Wendell is married to the former Diane Koenig and has 6 children, including our own Dr Daniel Wendell. Dr Wendell’s professional interests include general and orthopedic surgery

Dr Daniel Wendell is a life long resident of Jerseyville. Dr Wendell attended St Francis/Holy Ghost Catholic Grade School, and then Jersey Community High School here in Jerseyville. Upon his high school graduation Dr Wendell attended the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2020.

Dr Wendell joined our practice immediately following his graduation and has been acquiring new patients ever since. Dr Wendell, along with his wife Kelly have 3 wonderful children, and have just completed building their new home, here in Jerseyville.
